Welcome to The Hallberg-Rassy Owners Association

The HROA's aim is to provide sailing, social and other activities, and to promote an exchange of information, experience and views.

The Association was formed over 25 years ago, and has grown steadily ever since. Each of our 300 or so boat-owning Members can nominate an Associate, and we have many Friends - past owners who like to keep in touch and join in with many of our events. This makes us a community of about 600 individuals sharing a common interest.

Although most Members keep their boats in the UK and Ireland, we have a strong representation in the rest of Europe and further afield. You can read more about the Association in the Message from the Commodore and on the Benefits of Membership page of this site.

The Committee for 2020 is in the attached document. Their full contact details can be found in the Members Area (under Information) or in the Members Handbook.

HROA Committee 2020

Members should be aware that many of our events are strictly limited in numbers. Some events can prove extremely popular, especially our Winter programme, and we have to impose a strict 'first come first served' process to be fair to all who apply. The Social Secretary will confirm with each applicant whether or not they have been successful. So don't to delay to apply if you're interested, and please remember that nobody is 'choosing' who will go, but we are all working to the numbers limitation imposed by the event itself. Even if you have submitted payment, you will not be confirmed until you receive a confirmation from the organiser. Obviously anyone who has paid but cannot attend due to over subscription will receive a full refund! Tim Bishop Commodore HROA
