Built in 1983, MIDNIGHT WANDERER, a Hallberg-Rassy 312, is a classic blue water comfortable family cruising boat, constructed in GRP with teak decks, Selden spars, teak cockpit floor and seats. She has a custom fabricated laminated tiller and boarding ladder. The length is 9.4 metres, the beam is 3.07 metres and the maximum draft 1.6 metres

MIDNIGHT WANDERER has recently been upgraded with a replacement teak deck, the installation of a Side Power bow thruster with remote control, Selden electric genoa furling, controlled from the cockpit, a solar panel for battery charging, and new ceiling hatches to the fore cabin, heads and saloon. There is a new Lofrans Windlass, installed in September 2018 with remote control. The standing rigging was replaced in 2012. There are gates in the guardrails.

Hamble Yacht Services replaced the teak deck and toe rails over the winter of 2016/17, ensuring the deck has a future life of at least 30 years. The cleats, fore and aft, were replaced at the same time.

Her sail wardrobe comprises a Parasailor, Spinnaker, Cruising Chute, Storm Jib, two furling Genoas and Mainsail. Recent zip pack and spray hood. There is a cockpit tent by C&J Marine (2015), and cushions for the cockpit seats.

The Furuno Radar is Wi-Fi enabled, with the display to an iPad, which is included. Icom Radio, with DSC and cockpit extension. Standard Horizon Chart Plotter, Furuno GPS and Icom MA-500TR Class B AIS transponder, together with Speed, Depth and Wind at the navigator’s table with repeaters in the cockpit.

The Volvo MD 2030 diesel engine (29 hp) was installed in 2001 and there is a full-service history since 2011. The propeller is a 2 blade, folding, in bronze. The engine was last serviced in May 2018, and the sail drive in December 2017.

The inventory includes a 6-man life raft in cannister - next service required November 2018, two Horseshoe lifebuoys, each with a light, Danbuoy, Hand held fire extinguisher, Automatic fire extinguisher in the engine room, Fire blanket, Webbing jackstays on deck, Firdell Blipper radar reflector, Anchor ball & steaming cone and Man overboard rescue sling.

The hull was anti-fouled in December 2017, but in January 2017, was scraped back to the GRP coat, given two coats of Epoxy and anti-fouled.

There is a survey (for insurance purposes) available for inspection, undertaken in December 2017.

MIDNIGHT WANDERER should be seen to be believed, as she has been comprehensively upgraded and equipped, and is ready to sail away.
