The Hallberg-Rassy Owners Association was formed in 1989. The objectives were to provide a forum for owners to meet together and exchange ideas and experiences, to organise sailing events and to have a newsletter through which members could keep in touch and to receive news from the Hallberg-Rassy Company.
These original ideas have been more than satisfied. The Association meets and dines at our AGM and Dinner in January coinciding with the London Boat Show and we also have a Dinner Dance in November. There are weekend rallies in The Solent, France and The Channel Isles, the East Coast, and the West Coast of Scotland, all well attended. Members have cruised together in the Seine Bay area, in South Brittany and the Isles of Scilly. Recently Southern Ireland and Holland have been venues.
Many members do not keep boats in the UK and so either join these activities as crew with friends or keep in touch with our events via our Annual Newsletter published early in the New Year and our Magazine with full colour articles on cruises, reports of rallies, technical modifications etc. published in December. Our Editor is keen to receive articles and photographs for inclusion.
The current membership now stands at over 300 yachts. If you own or are in the process of purchasing a Hallberg Rassy you are very welcome to join us via the online application form.
