Our HROA 30th Anniversary Rally, 13th-15th Sept, Portsmouth Harbour

Come and join in the celebrations of thirty years of your association! A fun filled weekend of events with the fleet gathering at Haslar Marina in Gosport and our dinner at the RN Submarine Museum.

We'll start with a hog roast at the Hornet on Friday night, and Sat am will see us on a treasure hunt around Gosport, complete with prizes, before afternoon activities including the option of visiting the Royal Navy Dockyards across the harbour in Portsmouth, including three attractions, and the option of an additional tour of Henry VIII's flag ship the Mary Rose. Worth noting that there have been some considerable additions since the HROA's guided tour there a few years back, as the museum had vast amounts of Tudor relics in deep store and awaiting full restoration that get added to the exhibition displays through the year. You can also select to see the D-Day Museum, (though not possible to do both at the same time!)

Our traditional rally dinner will be held at the spectacular Royal Navy Submarine Museum at Gosport, with the return of one of our very favourite HROA guest speakers, and by popular request our HROA magician from last year's Commodore's Rally in at the Royal Lym. Should be a great celebration of our 30 years!

Sunday morning has a guided tour of Old Portsmouth, or at least what's left of it after the Luftwaffe and the Portsmouth Council town planners of the last three decades had their go at destroying it. Then HRs can gently slip their moorings and head home.
