I have a contract to purchase a HR 49 in Fort Lauderdale next month. The survey commences June 10th. I like this 1983 as the mast is only 63 feet which allows one to use the US Intercoastal Waterway, along the Atlantic. Am having trouble fitting a bimini as I don't want to take too much sun-could be a problem with this design. The hull had to have epoxy as there was water in the hull. Not afraid of the deck stepped mast. Has a new generator and new engine. . Looking to visit the Med. June 2003. Good luck. Jim, Jagbuf@aol.com
