Would appreciate some suggestions on methods of antifouling for our J prop. To-date we have just polished and covered with grease, with moderate success. Does anybody have a more efficient method?

I note you have a J Prop on HR36 - I am thinking of fitting either J prop or Maxprop to my HR36.
What size do you have or recommend?
What improvements have you found over fixed 3 blade prop?
Any problems experienced? eg fouling or jamming etc
I look forward to some info
Regards

We don't seem to be getting very far with this particular question...
I have used International VC10 Prop-O-Drev (comes in spray cans) on the 3 bladed Volvo folding prop, now fitted since 2 seasons on an HR29 (where we have saildrives).
No fouling or jamming problems.
But the antifouling just comes off, despite several undercoats and several coats sprayed on.
Am looking forward to any nuggets of wisdom from the bigger brothers in HR 36s
Best wishes

Reasons for choosing J Prop on HR36.
Not very scientific I'm afraid - recommended by HR, Sweden. To-date no complaints and very pleased with performance.
Re antifouling of J Prop.
I have answered my own question and for anyone who is interested I located a company, Darglow Engineering Ltd, at the London Boat Show. They have just brought onto the market anti fouling kits for maxprops and other propellers made in aluminum bronze alloys. For those interested their website is www.darglow.co.uk
